Palma de Majorca or officially Palma has a population of 383, 107 but another 517,285 people live around it; thus, this makes Palma the 12th biggest urban spot in Spain. The city is driven by tourism and port which sustains its buoyant economy. Transportation comes in the form of taxis, boats, off-road vehicles and hired cars. Walking proves to be to the best mode of movement in the busy city streets. There are over 22 million travelers going in and out of Son Sant Joan airport every year.

Port de Soller lies northwest of Majorca. This bowl shaped valley includes Fornalutx village and Biniaraix hamlet. Its population is about 13,000. Many cruise ships and water craft come in to its port every year. It is a bay that is horseshoe shaped with great beaches and perilous cliffs. Rich tourism supports the economy with a buoyant property market.
Palma Nova
Palma Nova is located at the outskirts of Palma de Majorca. Growth is tremendous recently over its property where foreign investors are actively making purchases.
Its population is around 28,000 people but it caters to about 1.6 million tourists every year. This municipality is one of Europe’s wealthiest boasting of 4 professional golf courses, a few water parks, a new promenade and, not forgetting the Gran Casino. The Chess Olympiad was held here in 2004 where great minds came together for the great display of analytical skills.
